Permanence is the illusion I seek,

As I lie under a crescent-shaped moon,
Feel the earth beneath me as I start to swoon.
How did I land here this very night?
Out of the glare of the city light?

His dim glow sparked a tinder in my chest.
It made my heart beat slow and put my mind to rest.
I felt it through my toes and out the top of my head.
So I deepened my breath.

And I'll show you what I found inside the night sky.
Float like a feather back down to land,
Left with the same key that was already in my hand.
There was nothing in that cosmic blip,
That you and I weren't born equipped with,
Cause we fell from the same mothership.
I would dare to bet it so,
Old Star didn't say a thing we don't already know,
Somewhere locked away deep inside,
The meeting point of body soul and mind,
